Exhibition Walkthrough and Listening Session with Johanna Hedva

Join us on Saturday, October 24 at 4pm for a walkthrough of Gravity, My / Favorite Enemy with artist Johanna Hedva.
Gravity, My / Favorite Enemy is Johanna Hedva's first institutional exhibition in New York. Bringing together time-based installation and video, newly produced sculptural wall paintings, and a large-scale kinetic sculpture, the exhibition composes an erotics of gravity, asking what beauty becomes when decay is not resisted but allowed to run its course.
Following the walkthrough, Hedva will lead a listening session of tracks from their 2021 album Black Moon Lilith in Pisces in the 4th House. Mystical doom, hag blues, confrontationally pure, the album is a solo electric guitar and voice performance that is as much a cathartic grief purge as it is a droned-out metal colossus that summons the holy spirit.
