The Earth, the Fire, the Water, and the Winds Book Launch & Conversation

The Earth, the Fire, the Water, and the Winds: For a Museum of Errantry with Édouard Glissant is the first publication to present Glissant’s art collection and project for a museum of memory-in-transit. Titled after Glissant’s poetic anthology, La Terre, le feu, l’eau et les vents (2010), this major publication offers a polyphonic extension of Glissant’s foundational thinking on art to museology, philosophy, and poetry.
On Thursday, March 5 at 7pm, join the publication's editors, Paulo Miyada and Ana Roman; exhibition artist and Director of the the Institut du Tout-Monde, Sylvie Séma Glissant; and CARA's Executive and Artistic Director, Manuela Moscoso, for a conversation that further explores the genesis of this project and Glissant's conception of the museum as an archipelago.
